Brenda offers individual counseling for adults, often those who are mental health counselors or health care providers themselves. Using evidence-based treatments is important. Therefore, she specializes in Mindfulness Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral, Nature Therapy and Neurotheology, which unites brain science and psychology with spiritual/religious beliefs and practices. She provides a variety of counseling settings which include inside the office, outside in the forest or near the water as well as on telehealth and the phone.

At the end of the day, however, she knows the essential ingredients in helping relationships include authentic, empathic, unconditional care for you.

With new knowledge of your True, Essential Self, you’ll graduate from therapy knowing how to care for yourself using daily self-care practices to support your ongoing growth and overall well-being.

Dr. Butterfield is a fully licensed mental health counselor in WA State, Lic #LH60490501. She is an in-network provider with Premera, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Regence insurance companies. She offers therapy services to adults (face to face in the office, online and outside, nature based as well) at the ONE Center on Steamboat Island just 15 minutes from Olympia.

By the time folks make it to their first appointment the last thing they want to do is sit and fill out a lot of paperwork. However, paperwork is required by the State of Washington during the first appointment. We can minimize the time spent on it if you spend time completing all of the required forms indicated below.
