The dates for the Fall 2023 MLPG are every other Wednesday from 6:00-8:00PM, hybrid in person and online via Zoom.
Wednesdays: Oct 4 & 18, Nov 1, 15, and 29, Dec 13.
This group is designed to help you with the practice of living a more intentional, contemplative life. It is specifically for those who have completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course or the Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) course and who wish to continue a personal practice of mindfulness and self-compassion in daily life. This group will be co-facilitated by Dr. Brenda Butterfield and Beth Kim.
Accepting the invitation to be part of this group is allowing yourself to connect with others also on the mindful path, which is not an easy path to travel alone. Come, help co-create this community of care by practing ways of supporting, encouraging and caring for oneself and others too. Sometimes we use Jon Kabat-Zinn's "Full Catastrophe Living" book as our guide for discussion. We'll use a variety of resources to explore aspects of mindful living. However, we always carve out time for formal practice together. This consists of mindful movement and guided meditations including sitting, walking, or lying down. We share and grow together. Come, connect with others and learn ways to continue cultivating peace of mind and a more joyful heart.
Each session is recorded on Zoom so you won't miss out if you can't be present for a practice session. Come, join the ONE Community of Care in whatever way works for you.
