Family Song Circle and Picnic

Join us for a lively and fun, nature infused summer song event in the forest and by the water led by teacher/song leaders Beth Kim & Julia Gentlestrength Parsons. Songs will be appropriate for children and families at any age. All are welcome! We’ll teach songs and movements and provide time to enjoy the beautiful land at ONE.

Our adult Healing Song group has been such a delight, that we created an event for families! This event is for families seeking more joy, peace of mind, and connection within a family and between families too!  Come, be a part of creating community.  The isolation requried by Covid magnified stress related conditions in families including anxiety and depression.  We can heal by reconnecting!  We know research shows BEING in community, sharing our stories, singing together, espeically in nature are all therapeutic activities that support our health and well being. When we do this we feel more connected to ourself, each other, the land and beyond.

Our adventure will happen rain or shine. Please bring a water bottle, a healthy lunch/picnic supplies, sunscreen, clothing layers for a forest adventure. And most important of all, bring your family! There will be a participation waiver to sign prior to attending.

24 participant capacity. Some scholarships available.

About the teachers:

Beth Kim is mom and kindergarten-first grade teacher in Olympia. She has a Masters in education and 13 years experience

working with young children.  She enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, singing and creating

art.

Julia Parsons-Gentlestrength has a Masters in Psychology, is a Somatics (Mind-Body)

Educator, a certified Purpose Guide, and an Outdoor Waldorf Preschool Teacher.. She has

been supporting individuals and families for 30+ years and loves to explore the wonders of

Ticket covers one or two adults and one child for Family song circle and picnic Saturday June 25 from 10am-12:30pm. Each child in your family will need their own ticket.  Children under 1 year old may attend free with big sibling.
