Chickadee Bird Club

Tune in to the language of the land—one bird at a time.

Step into the world of birds with curiosity, observation, and shared exploration. This monthly club will alternate between gatherings at the ONE Center on Steamboat Island and local field trips to nearby natural spaces. Together, we’ll observe bird behavior, listen to calls and songs, practice identification, and learn to decode the subtle signals birds offer about themselves and the landscape around us. Open and accessible to all experience levels, this is a space to build skills, share discoveries, and deepen connection with nature and one another. This group is facilitated by our wonderful ONE Center Bird Steward Leah Hughes and ONE Center Steward Brenda Butterfield.
